Willem van Hooff — Overkill

The Dutch artist Willem van Hooff rose to international fame thanks to his collection of ceramic works, which incorporated ironic, mocking and truly ingenious messages. A way of using satire and social criticism in powerful, striking and truly beautiful vases. This is a brutalist, imperfect piece because, as the artist says, “the soul of an object is lost in the apparent perfection of mass production".
