This vase belongs to the Core Vessels series, one of the most famous series by the Dutch artist Willem van Hooff. Inspired by prehistoric African construction techniques, the designer has sought to challenge the contour of each vase by destabilizing it, so that, almost hidden, it regains balance due to the weight of water it can carry. They are flat pieces, heavy, and of great brutalist beauty.
