This collection is inspired by Rome's Monte Testaccio, a hill formed by the accumulation of amphorae that mainly transported oil in the Roman Empire. It speaks of these ancient vessels which, created for a specific use and once discarded, become landscape and material memory. The work highlights the container beyond its usefulness, placing the jug and the vessel as aesthetic objects. The pieces champion clay as an expressive material and craftsmanship as a generator of meaning, transforming the functional object into an autonomous form.
