The Chilean artist once again plays with balance, challenging conventional wisdom and our understanding of ceramics and their uses, in order to move closer to the purely sculptural. This series is, in his own words, ‘an exploration of how human beings develop trust through playful and emotional experiences throughout life. An exercise in flexibility and balance’.
Stoneware treated with oxides and pigments. Constructed using a potter’s wheel, slabs and coil building. Fired at 1245°. Measurements: 18 x 20 x 14 cm.
